Old scrap is an expensive problem for any company. It’s usually hard to value, takes up a lot of space, and requires a lot of manual labour. Therefore, many companies are turning to scrap metal recyclers to efficiently recycle their old scraps so that they can make some money off them while getting rid of the problem at the same time. In the most extreme situations, it may take a year or more to completely pay out on something that seems small at first but is worth much more when you look at how many tons of metal are still left over.
They might be right for your company if you're looking for someone that can efficiently handle your old copper scrap. The main benefit is the money that you can make off of any large amounts of scrap metal. Without a way to recycle these scraps, they would just take up space and cause problems with disposal and equipment maintenance. You can expect to make anywhere from $10-$20 per ton for some recycled metal so long as you're getting rid of what's there as quickly as possible and not letting it pile up too high before taking action.
For most small to medium-sized businesses, scrap metal recyclers are a perfect fit for their needs unless you're dealing with larger amounts of scrap metal or something more complex like copper wire or silverware (which can be more trouble, but does have its benefits). If the company is buying large amounts of metal for their use, for example, it wouldn't make sense for them to leave their piles of old metal lying around so they might sell it off to someone else or at least recycle some of it to get paid or save money on transportation costs.
If you're doing your research, you'll find that the time and effort involved will be worth it in the long run.
